Terms and Conditions
Terms for customers booking Rides, Rentals, Cargo & Recovery on the TAGGO app
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These User Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of the TAGGO mobile application, taggo.ae website, and related services (the "Platform") by customers who book Rides, Airport Transfers, Car Rentals, Cargo & Delivery, or Vehicle Recovery / Roadside Assistance (together, the "Services"). The Platform is operated by TAG GO LIMOUSINE - L.L.C - S.P.C., a company established in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with its registered office at Building No. 6, Office 201-202, 2nd Floor, 33 Barqa An Nisil St, Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi, UAE ("TAGGO", "we", "us", "our").
These Terms apply to you as a "User" - a customer booking Services through the Platform. Drivers, vehicle owners, rental companies, recovery operators, and other service providers are separately bound by the TAGGO Partner Agreement, which is a distinct document.
By creating an account or booking a Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Definitions
- "Platform" means the TAGGO mobile application, website, APIs, and related technology.
- "Services" means Ride-Hailing, Airport Transfer, Car Rentals, Cargo & Delivery, and Vehicle Recovery / Roadside Assistance offered through the Platform.
- "Partner" means the independent driver, vehicle owner, rental company, recovery operator, or fleet/franchise operator who fulfils your Booking.
- "Booking" means a confirmed request for a Service made through the Platform.
- "UAE Pass" means the UAE national digital identity used for certain verification steps.
3. Nature of the Platform
TAGGO operates a technology platform that connects Users with independent Partners who provide transportation, rental, cargo, and recovery services across the United Arab Emirates. Except where TAGGO expressly operates a Service directly under its own commercial licence, TAGGO is not itself a transportation carrier, taxi operator, car rental company, freight carrier, or roadside recovery operator, and does not itself provide the underlying Service.
Partners are independent businesses or independent contractors, not employees or agents of TAGGO. TAGGO facilitates discovery, AI-assisted dispatch/matching, booking, in-app communication, and payment collection, and charges the fees described in Section 8.
Each Partner is individually responsible for holding the transport-authority permits, licences, and registrations required for the Emirate(s) in which they operate and the Service category they provide (for example, permits issued by Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipalities and Transport / Integrated Transport Centre, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, or the equivalent competent authority in other Emirates). TAGGO onboards Partners across the UAE and requires each Partner to maintain the permits applicable to their operating area, but TAGGO does not itself guarantee that a specific Emirate-level permit is held by a specific Partner at every point in time, and encourages Users to report any concern to [email protected].
4. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under UAE law.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and keep it up to date.
- TAGGO may refuse, suspend, or terminate any account at its discretion where these requirements are not met, where fraud is suspected, or where required by a competent UAE authority.
5. Account Registration
You register using a valid mobile number and/or email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorised use of your account.
6. Services You Can Book
6.1 Ride-Hailing and Airport Transfer
Book instant or scheduled rides for city and intercity travel, including fixed-fare airport transfers with flight tracking. Fares, routes, and estimated times of arrival are calculated by the Platform and may vary from actual outcomes due to traffic, weather, or other factors outside TAGGO's control.
6.2 Car Rentals
Book vehicle rentals (economy, premium, luxury, or electric) on daily, weekly, or monthly terms from registered rental Partners. Rental terms, mileage limits, insurance coverage, Salik/toll handling, fuel policy, and deposit requirements are set by the rental Partner and disclosed at the time of booking; completing a rental Booking also binds you to that Partner's rental-specific terms.
6.3 Cargo & Delivery
Book same-day or scheduled shipment of parcels and freight, from single parcels to pallet-scale shipments, within the UAE and to other GCC destinations where offered. You are responsible for ensuring shipped items are lawful, accurately declared, and properly packaged; TAGGO and Partners may refuse to carry prohibited, hazardous, or improperly declared items.
6.4 Vehicle Recovery & Roadside Assistance
Request towing, breakdown, or roadside assistance from registered recovery Partners. Response times are estimated and not guaranteed, and depend on location, traffic, and Partner availability.
7. Bookings, Fares, and Cancellations
- Fares and charges are shown in the app before you confirm a Booking and may include base fare, distance/time charges, tolls (e.g. Salik), waiting time, service fees, and applicable VAT.
- A cancellation fee may apply if you cancel a Booking after a Partner has been dispatched, after a stated grace period, or if you fail to show up for a confirmed Booking. The applicable fee and grace period are disclosed in-app before you confirm.
- Prices for rentals, cargo, and recovery may vary by vehicle category, distance, weight/volume, or the urgent nature of the request, and are disclosed before you confirm the Booking.
- A Partner may decline or cancel a Booking in limited circumstances (e.g. safety concerns, inability to reach the pickup location); TAGGO will attempt to re-match your Booking where possible.
8. Payment and Taxes
TAGGO accepts payment through the in-app payment methods made available from time to time, which may include cards processed by a licensed third-party payment service provider, and cash where enabled for a given Service. TAGGO does not store full payment card numbers; payments are processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.
All fares and fees are inclusive of UAE Value Added Tax (VAT) unless stated otherwise. You authorise TAGGO and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method for all fares, fees, cancellation charges, tolls, and applicable taxes arising from your Bookings.
9. Your Conduct
When using the Platform you agree not to:
- provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including false pickup/drop-off details or cargo declarations;
- use the Platform for any unlawful, abusive, harassing, or unsafe purpose, or to transport prohibited, hazardous, or illegal goods;
- interfere with, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its underlying systems;
- engage in abusive, discriminatory, or threatening behaviour toward Partners, other Users, or TAGGO staff;
- circumvent in-app payment or booking mechanisms to avoid applicable fees.
TAGGO may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this Section 9, and may report unlawful conduct to the competent UAE authorities.
10. Safety Features and Disclaimer
The Platform may include safety features such as an in-app SOS button, live trip sharing, and trip tracking, provided to assist in emergencies and to support law-enforcement and emergency-service response. These features are not a substitute for directly contacting Police (999), Ambulance (998), or other emergency services in a genuine emergency. TAGGO does not guarantee that safety features will function without interruption or that any emergency response will be timely.
11. Insurance
Each Partner is responsible for maintaining insurance appropriate to the Service they provide, including motor third-party liability and any additional cover required by UAE law or the applicable rental/vehicle category. TAGGO does not itself insure Users, cargo, or vehicles, except to the extent TAGGO expressly states otherwise in writing for a specific Service. If you are involved in an incident, contact TAGGO support and, where relevant, the Partner's insurer directly.
12. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its software, design, trademarks (including "TAGGO" and associated logos), and content, is owned by or licensed to TAG GO LIMOUSINE - L.L.C - S.P.C. and protected by UAE and international intellectual-property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose.
13. Third-Party Services
The Platform may rely on or link to third-party services (including mapping, payment processing, cloud hosting, and identity-verification providers such as UAE Pass). TAGGO is not responsible for the availability, content, or acts or omissions of third-party services, which are governed by their own terms.
14. Suspension and Termination
TAGGO may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, where you breach these Terms, your account cannot be verified, fraudulent or unsafe activity is suspected, or TAGGO is required to do so by a competent UAE authority. Where practicable, TAGGO will notify you of the reason. You may close your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 11, 12, 15-18) continue to apply.
15. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, the Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. TAGGO does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any Booking or Partner will meet your expectations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TAGGO's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform is limited to the total platform fees paid by you to TAGGO in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation applies to commercial and property-related claims; it does not apply to, and does not limit, liability for death or personal injury caused by the proven gross negligence or wilful misconduct of TAGGO, which cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory UAE law. TAGGO is not liable for the acts, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of any Partner, who remains independently responsible for the Service they provide, including in respect of accidents, injury, loss of or damage to goods, or vehicle condition; your primary recourse for such matters is against the Partner and their insurer.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TAG GO LIMOUSINE - L.L.C - S.P.C., its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your violation of applicable law.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and, to the extent applicable, the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The courts of Abu Dhabi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, without prejudice to TAGGO's right to bring proceedings in any other competent jurisdiction where required to enforce its rights. Before initiating formal proceedings, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith by contacting TAGGO support at [email protected].
18. Force Majeure
TAGGO is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government action, public health emergencies, power or telecommunications failures, or third-party service outages.
19. Changes to These Terms
TAGGO may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app or by email at least 7 days before taking effect, except where a change is required immediately for legal, regulatory, or safety reasons. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
20. Language
These Terms may be made available in both English and Arabic. In the event of any conflict between the two versions, the Arabic version shall prevail to the extent required by UAE law, unless the parties expressly agree otherwise in writing.
21. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any Service-specific terms disclosed at booking constitute the entire agreement between you and TAGGO regarding the Platform.
- Severability: if any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- No waiver: TAGGO's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.
- Assignment: you may not assign your rights under these Terms without TAGGO's consent; TAGGO may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
